With the donation we received from EMF, we've bought the space a new
decent MIG welder. It's a Parweld XTM 161C which has an
interchangeable torch and can do 35-170A.
Hopefully this means we can get rid of the motley crew of slightly
broken cheap MIG welders. I'm looking forward to having a play with a
good welder for a change.
(I believe it needs fitting with a 16A plug before we can use it.)
I happen to have one of them 16A plugs...
Can we bite the bullet and also buy the required breakers for the dist box so the 16A socket can be lived up?

I've just been reminded that it's actually a 32A socket, so it's not
suitable. My suggestion is that we replace it with a 16A socket.

YES. Either buy it or tell me what to order and I'll order it. No
bullet-biting is necessary, we have plenty of cash, but I can't buy
anything unless someone tells me what to buy.

A 16A adaptor is going to have to have its own MCB on it to protect
the 16A side, and given that there's pretty much no chance we're ever
going to be using any 32A equipment in the space, it seems a little
bit pointless.

Just as a point of note, the Clarke SE16C160 compressor I got for Brighton hackspace needs a 32A (240V) source.

There's only one broken MIG welder, the other two welders are both arc
welders.
I don't know what state they are in, but if the white one is not
wanted, then i'd kind of like it back.
Yes, i donated it to the hackspace, and No, i did not expect it to be
returned. But i also don't want to see it wasted, and there are other
community groups that could use it.
