The three projectors I found in the space have been located to the
first table on the left in the quiet room. There were spare VGA cables
and IEC/figure of 8 power leads. These were all put in appropriate
boxes/lin bins in the workshop.
I guess this means I've volunteered to look after them then? OK.
Cheers,
Paul

Irritatingly it's cheaper to chuck a projector than get a new bulb. Probably >£100 for a EMP-X3 bulb.
Out of interest what do people call figure-8 connectors with earth? I always call them 'cloverleaf' but people look at me like I just set their mum on fire.

Cloverleaf here as well. Try Micky Mouse next time someone doesn't understand cloverleaf although that might be more american, if they don't understand that chances are they just call it "That thing that makes my laptop charge."

I do have a projector that doesn't work no more, but it was a problem nothing to do with the bulb, when I get back to the space, I'll bring in the bulb to hopefully get that other one fixed. I think they're compatible, but I'll have to check

As someone who has gone and bought a projector because a replacement bulb cost more, I can confirm that this is very irritating.
It just occurred to me that there is probably a business opportunity in there somewhere - the creation of replacement projector bulbs using high intensity LEDs and if required, convex lenses. If anyone is interested in exploring this further as a venture and/or open source project, do please get in touch.

well this was partly what my infocus was for, I wanted to loan it to the space to burn the bulb out so I could justify pulling it apart and hacking a huge-f**koff green laser to it
