Just to clarify: if I don't have assurance that someone is going to be
at the space from 0830 on Tuesday then this delivery is going to be
cancelled.

Thanks so much - you're a legend.

Yep - If nothing else I suspect considering it weighs 250kg that it's
probably worth waiting until we have a couple of people around who
know what they're doing :)

As I understand it'll be delivered by the manufacturer, so it's just a
case of letting them in. There should be plenty of spare space in the
workshop area to keep it temporarily.

In addition I have arranged to have a 4-jaw independent chuck
delivered with it at a cost of £90.53.

I would like to get some space up near the unused front door of the
unit, near where the trebuchet is living. I'd also like to put the
kiln there as well. Any other ideas?
Luke
Has anyone checked to make sure that Chester will have the necessary mechanical handling equipment
with them?
They may assume that the customer has a fork truck or similar, it wouldn't surprise me if the delivery
vehicle doesn't even have a tail lift. Getting over 200kg of metal off the back of the truck by hand isn't
very practical!
Nigle
What's happening to the old lathe?
There is a lift.
Nothing, it will continue as it is.
One of the other units probably has a pallet truck that we can borrow, might be worth checking this
out in advance. The problem will be lifting it up onto whatever it will sit on. And potentially getting it
off the delivery truck in the first place.
Nigle
They will do. These guys deliver to hobbyists all the time so it won't
be an issue.
