Classes
I just got confirmation from Ian Lowe about the classes.
He's got the new forge set up, so he's ready to start classes.
Maximum class size is 5 people, for now.
Classes are £30 each per class.
Initially he's running the classes in the evenings, from 7pm -1030pm.
It'll be an evening on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. These are the evenings
he currently has available.
Please add your names, and list your preference for which evening.
Once we have an initial 5 people, i'll shout him and book the class.
He'll teach the basics, but if you have any blacksmithing/forging experience
already, then he's happy to run it as a supervised forge session.
Also you WILL need to wear boots. Sturdy shoes are okay, but steel- toed
boots are better.

I would very much like to attend one of these, the day doesn't really
matter, but it would be good to know the *date* in advance, as it's a
fair trek from Swindon, and I'd need to arrange a trip, and possibly
lodging overnight.

The first class is lined up for this coming Monday, 19th June, 7pm-1030pm.
The people for the class are
Paddy Duncan,
Billy Smith,
Chris Hipster,
Emma.
Rob Farr.
Charles told me he can't do Mondays now, so we'll try for another evening.
Tom and James Mastros, we'll arrange for the next class.
Any one else that's interested, add your names here. As soon as we've got
five people, we'll book the class.

to use the wiki, and not sure how to put my name down on the list... can
you add my name, please, or tell me how to sign up?

I haven't been told of anything, but from previous experience in hot
metal-working, wearing clothes made of nylon are a bad idea, as they
tend to melt rather than just burning holes in them.
