Yesterday evening he x axis geared out of it self in the middle of its range, very strange! The reason seems (my best guess) to be related to the tightening chamfered metal-block on the side that on inspection had slipped to long forward. I tied to push it back in position, which did not help. Spending a lot of time trying to figure it out yesterday I am out of time and ideas how to fix it untill Monday when I back in Town and brobably head down to the Hackspace.

My best guess is to press out the metal-block on the side completely, since it might be this one that locks the table from getting back on the threads.

And then see if everything can be dismounted and remounted properly.

Hmm. I can come up to the space next monday and take a look. A few things need fixing on the machine anyway.

Also, whoever is taking the tailstock of the machine... Stop doing this!

Just fixed the problem!

Do newer tighten the xy bed side thightening screws when table is far to front or far back, then there is a risk to tiggetening further than the bar since the screws then move in to air. Then when table is mobing to center, a thightening bolt, if thightened to much will pusch the bar and bend som screws, fuck up things, like ehat had happened resulting in the stuck table!

Maby I or some one else that did not realise that these bolts just easly moves in to air and to far in and caused the problem! Somthing to bare in mind for future introductions for lathe users!

Cheers/
Jakob
