A. INTERNAL ELECTIONS
1. It was recorded that no applications for Maharashtra state president were received hence elections cannot be conducted in such a situation
2. It was unanimously agreed that even if elections are not possible, Lok Satta must ratify the decision on way forward with its existing members in Maharashtra without further delay
3. In the absence of elections it is proposed to hold a general body meeting inviting all members on May 05, 2013 to vote on the possible alternatives identified by the Maharashtra Working Committee to take the Maharashtra unit forward for next one year. General Secretary was authorized to consult others on the date and send notice accordingly.
These options proposed (Subject to Ratification of National President) are:
a. Continue the existing Maharashtra Working committee as it is till next year and chose a president from amongst themselves as Surendra Srivastava has decided to step down irrespective of elections
b. Adopt proposal by existing Maharashtra State President and working Committee members of entrusting affairs of working committee to 7 lifetime members who have been active for last 6 months or more.
Ordinary/executive members who may now choose to upgrade their membership to lifetime and work for the party can be inducted in this committee in the expansion review which must be conducted in another 6-7 months with members. The 7 lifetime members proposed by the committee are - Dr Diwan, Rajesh Jogani, Dr Ramdas, Parag Thakur, Dipesh Mohile, Pankaj Asthaana and Shraddha Ipte. These seven members will select amongst them a state president till next year or next Maharashtra internal elections (whichever is earlier). Suresh Nadawat will continue as Treasurer.
3. The group welcomed more members to consider lifetime membership and join Maharashtra working committee in next 6 months
4. One of these two options will be chosen by the existing Maharashtra members in the general body meeting on May 5 or any other date as notified by the General Secretary and will be ratified by the national executive committee
