Let's suppose I want to say "I hate the Ravens, more so than any other sports team." (because them winning caused me to lose sleep).

{.i da'i mi troci cu fanva zo'e sa'a mu'i lo du'u lo nu jinga ku rinka lo nu mi na'e raumei sipna}

I can say {lo ni mi xebni lai cipnrkorvo cu zmadu tu'a lo drata ke xadykelci'e girzu} or {lai cipnrkorvo lo drata ke xadykelci'e girzu ku zmadu lo ni mi xebni ce'u}

Does {mi xebni lai cipnrkorvo se mau tu'a lo drata ke xadykelci'e girzu} mean (more or less) the same thing? If not, how does it differ?

I'd say "mi xebni lai cipnrkorvo pesemau lo drata ke xadykelci'e bende".
Attaching "semau" to the selbri makes it unclear whether you hate the Ravens
more than you hate other teams, you hate the Ravens more than other teams do,
or your hatred of the Ravens is more than other teams try to open the door (or
whatever else tu'a could mean).

I hate the Ravens because they used to be the Browns. The traitors. (I'm from Ohio.)

.i lai cipnrkorvo cu traji lo ni mi xebni kei loi ro xadykelci'e bende
Why is everyone afraid of simply refactoring the sentence to use traji or zmadu or mleca as the main selbri? :P

Otherwise, if you're dying to use a BAI:
.i mi xebni lai cipnrkorvo terai loi ro xadykelci'e bende

The reason I wanted a BAI was that in my English thought, the prepositional phrase was an afterthought, and I wondered if it worked that way in lojban.

I grew up in Cincinnati, and I don't care about the Ravens, the Browns, or
other sports teams. The Crows, though, I'd call "lo .apsaroke".

Well, yeah, I don't really care either, not being into sports myself. But I'm from Cleveland, so I have a minute loyalty to the Browns, the Cavaliers, and the Indians, purely because they're the Cleveland teams.

And even if you did care about handegg, you're from Cincinnati, so you wouldn't care about the Browns because your team is the Bengals. ;)

Who are the Crows? Are you talking the indigenous tribe of the Americas? Without going into a rant, I'd just like to say that I very much dislike the English names for the various tribes and also prefer calling them by their own name (and therefore would also call them that if I ever had occasion to talk about them in Lojban).

Yes, and Apsaroke (or Absaloge or other combinations thereof - their language
has fewer consonant phonemes) is their name for themselves, or rather what the
Hidatsa (closely related people) call them. It apparently referred to some
sort of corvid, hence the English name. Some other tribal names in Lojban are
tsalagi (Cherokee), siksika (Blackfoot), and nienke'a (Mohawk), all from
autonyms. For the Navajos, I say "bangrnabe'o", "kulnrnabe'o", etc. "Diné" is
the autonym, but "Navajo", from a neighboring language, is more widely used,
and is "Naabeehó" in Navajo.
