But I have friends interested in the lojban, but not good enough in english to learn a new language from it.

I'm willing to translate some of the ressources for them. And so, I have many questions:

 - Is there already ressources that I missed (thinking about courses) and can point to them?
 - Is there already unfinished translations that I can help with?
 - Are there french speaking people good enough in lojban that can review my translations if I work on it? The idea being, they may not have time or will to do the translation, but can read what I have done and catch some errors that I make (as I am myself learning), which may be less time consumming.

Also, if you have advices for my task (should I translate directly on the wiki, can I, and how, help to translate the dictionnary…), they are welcome.

I'm not a Francophone (they are coming! watch out this thread) but I would like to know if you are also going to translate gismu and cmavo definitions?

In this case I'll prepare spreadsheet files for you so that we can easily import them back into our database (jbovlaste).

As for The Reference Grammar I hope others will reply to you but I also recommend start translating Wave lessons because they are much shorter than the Full Grammar book.

very often. What is its address?

As for the CLL (the reference grammar), there is an ongoing French translation
which can be found at the following address:

There is about four chapters translated so far. The project is lead by Xelan, so
if you want to help you may want to contact him. :)

However translating the CLL is a long-term undertaking; beginning by translating
the Wave Lessons, which are much shorter and more beginner-friendly, is probably
a better idea.

With regard to vocabulary, there is a good amount of gismu already translated,
if I remember correctly.

I may translate gismu and cmavo as I translate the lessons, and as my friends need words (I asked them if they were willing to note the words they need. They can read the english definitions, that are simple, but that would give me a starting point). Although I was considering using the web forms, that do not seem practical. But my computer is very weak and I have a small screen, and so, spreadsheets are not practical either. And I don't know if I'm ready and have time to translate gismu in batch…

I was considering translating lessons first, yes. I was wondering if I should translate “Lojban For Beginners” or the wave lessons, but everybody is talking about the wave lessons, and nobody mentions “Lojban For Beginners”. I begin to think it is the way to go (and it's also more practical for me, as these are the lessons that I use, and as they are on the wiki). I mentionned the reference grammar because I'm reading them in parallel (but just reading them, while I try to *understand* the wave lessons, thus the “not actively” for the CLL).

I was aware of this link, but because my computer is very weak, could not read it :-S. In fact, since the CLL is on github, I would have thought about a fork (and I love editing text files ;-))… But as you say, it is a big task, and I was of course willing to translate lessons first. I take note that if I want to participate to the CLL translation, I will have to contact Xelan.

I realise that it was not clear that I did not want to translate the CLL yet… I really want to translate lessons to begin with.

I was considering to translate the wave lessons first, but saw – reading the lojban lists – that their is also “lojban for beginners”. I was wondering which one would it be better to translate. (I'm going for the wave lessons if nobody makes me change my mind: they are on the wiki, which is nice to link translations)

That list is very poor. On the french mailing-list, they sent me some bigger lists (that are older than jbovlaste, if I understand). I don't know (yet) what to do with them. But I will focus on the lessons, for now.
