Hi folks,
Can you believe it's nearly MAY already?  Madness.

I just want to give you an update of what's going on with the LODLAM Summit, and what you'll find over at the website these days. As you may know, the Summit is taking place in Montreal June 19-20, 2013.

Apply!
There are only 4 spots left, so please get in your application if you want to attend.  We may be doing some juggling of spaces in the next few weeks and we'll try to get everyone in who wants to come, so we may keep the applications open even if we show 0 spots. **If you have applied online before this week and have not heard from me, please contact me directly!**

Book your hotel!
If you're already coming to the Summit, book your room now.  As you'll see on the about pages, we are technically past our deadline for the Gouveneur Place Dupuis and the Zero-1 is going to let rooms go tomorrow.  Summer in Montreal sells out fast, so book your room NOW.

Who's coming?
The participant list is pretty up to date.  This lists anyone who's paid a reservation and agreed to publicly list their info. As you can see, it's an amazing group, and there are more being added every few days at this point.

Challenge Entries due Tomorrow!
We have the second round of Challenges due tomorrow (May 1, 11:59pm Pacific Time). We'll be voting quickly to select 2 finalists from this heat, who will win up to $2k in travel grants to get to Montreal for the Summit. It could be you (if you enter).

If You Can't Come
We know everyone can't get to Montreal, but we're going to make the Summit as open and interactive as possible, including live streaming the opening session each day, the dork shorts, and the Challenge final.  People will be tweeting like crazy and we'll have some open note solutions so you can follow along.  If you really want to dig in, we may even try setting up some Google Hangout sessions for the various breakouts if there is demand and the bandwidth permits.

This has been an amazing year for LODLAM, and I want to thank you for all you've done to help push it along!

Thanks, Jon
