Main Street Calumet presents PastyFest 2008 June 26, 27 & 28.

The Pasty Poetry 'Throwdown' will be held Thursday at 7 pm at the Conglomerate Cafe at 104 Fifth Street in Calumet.

Friday's events include the open house at the Keweenaw National Historical Park Headquarters on Red Jacket Road from 2 to 5 pm, the Community Service Awards Ceremony at the Calumet Theatre Ballroom at 340 Sixth Street at 5:30 pm and The New Christy Minstrels concert at the Calumet Thatre at 7:30 pm.

Saturday kicks off with the Pasty Parade at 10 am down Calumet's Fifth Street. There will be food, fun and music in Agassiz Park on 4th Street from 10 am to 5 pm with free horse-drawn wagon tours from 11 am to 2 pm. The Pasty Bake-off begins at 1 pm, followed by children's games at 2 pm (including the dreaded PastyPull) and the Main Street Karaoke Sing-Off at 5 pm.
