Subject: I-96 project over the Portland Trail
All~
I was able to speak to most of you this morning regarding the upcoming
public meeting for the work on I-96 over the Portland Trail. The public
meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 29 from 4-6 pm.
The proposed project includes the removal of two bridges and the addition of
a box culvert over the Portland Trail in the city of Portland, Ionia County.
Construction on this project is scheduled to begin in April of 2012 and
completed by July 2012. During this time, the Portland Trail will be
detoured. Please see the attached detour route for the trail users.
Please contact me at 231-937-7780 or roze...@michigan.gov if you have any
questions regarding this project.
Thank you,
