Is there a way to limit the characters in the title?

For example. I have my ON THIS DAY show up in my sidebar. But some of
my titles are long and screw up the layout when it goes over to the
next line. Limiting the title length and what it shows would solve
this.

Is this possible? Or perhaps possible for future iterations?

Thanks again for developing this plugin. I've been waiting for this
plugin since Wasabi's plugin broke with WP 2.1 (or somewhere around
there)!!
