Can lithosphere generate spherical worlds? Are there any plans to
implement this feature?

Nope, it can't do that (yet). I've thought about doing that, but it's a bit
tricky in GLSL. I'm thinking of moving the procedural creation part to
OpenCL, and it would certainly be possible there.
