Hi there,

I'm trying to setup email forwarding from a corp. mail server
(foo.com) to a bunch of linux boxes of the lab team connected by vpn.
All machines run posix from ubuntu karmic. Example of the forwarding:

j...@foo.com (1) <=> j...@workstation1.lab.foo.com (2)

- using (2) should allow to communicate within the vpn without
touching foo.com. the users don't have a login for foo.com.

- only (1) should be reachable from outside the vpn. Outgoing mail
should have the (1) format.

- I want to use config files only, no mysql, or other fancy stuff.

- foo.com will also run dovecot for some "regular" guys, e.x.
management.

- the configuration should be as secure as possible. I don't want to
become an open relay for the outside world. On the vpn side however,
it should be more relaxed.

I'd be really thankful if some of you guys could guide me, and/or
point me to some great howto's. If been searching for 2 days, but
there are mainly howtos for big setups including mysql and
webinterface for administration.

Oh, i forgot to emphasize: A smtp/pop3 setup is not an option for the
vpn-connected machines. That by the way is what I already managed to
set up. So...

> - foo.com will also run dovecot for some "regular" guys, e.x.
> management.

...is not part of the question.

Thanks
