Crashing

noticed that the Google notebook add-on does everything list-it does,
including one click "mobile notes," plus about 500 other things. (Wish
I had figured that out earlier. I've had that add-on for years.) Any
reason not to just use Google Notebook?

We are not aware of any crashing problems in the current version of List-It.
Are you running the latest version? (You can check by going to Tools, Add-Ons and clicking Find Updates). Also, what operating system are you running?
We loved Google Notebook too, but Google stopped development of Notebook long ago, and it is uncertain how long it will stay open before it terminates entirely.
Unlike Google Notebook, list-it keeps notes on your computer, so they will be there regardless of what happens to us or our servers or whatever (as long as you back your computer up!) Also, we are planning a host of really exciting new features based on everyone's feedback --- . Adaptive reminding (notes that float), event/ date parsing, and various mobile clients are on the agenda.
Also, list-it is pure Free and Open Source software, so even if something happens to us (like we all graduate and become famous -- however unlikely!) the community can continue to develop it and it can continue to grow and thrive.
Please let us know more details of your problems and we'll fix them as soon as we can.
