Subject: 11Alive & CBS 46 News Coverage for ART FROM THE HEART

Hi Everyone,
As many of you know I HATE being in the spot light but this Friday I am
presenting the portrait of Jamaal Addison to his mother at a memorial
service being held for him. You can view the portrait I am speaking of on my
blog at www.LisaGleim.Blogspot.com.
If you are not aware of what I am talking about, a couple of years ago I
came up with a project called ART FROM THE HEART and recruited several of my
friends to help me start it. This project is where local aritsts donate
their time and talent to paint the portrait of fallen Georgia soldiers for
their families free of charge. We currently have 32 portraits in various
stages right now and I am presenting mine tomorrow. Brenda Wood interviewed
me yesterday and a cameraman wil be at the ceremony tomorrow along with CBS
46 to cover the presentation. The AJC is running the story in their Metro
section on Saturday as well. It has been a long road since we first started
this project. We hit many walls and road blocks and it wasn't until last
fall that we finally made some head way and made contact with the families
and started getting requests for portraits. We are very proud of this
project and hope you will enjoy hearing more about it. So tune in on Friday
night to 11Alive at 7pm to see Brenda Wood's story and CBS 46's news
coveragel. Hopefully I won't look too nervous!!
Lisa
