Moderators please speak up

Over time some of you offered to help with moderation of this google
group. I want to turn on moderation before first post. If you can help
with this please let me know.

I can assist some.

I manage a number of Google Groups, including the Ruby-Talk archive.
In my experience just reporting spam when it occurs helps cut the
volume down considerably. And recently Google has made it easier to
report (new "Report spam" link above each message). Maybe worth trying
that before going the next step of first-post moderation?

BTW. you can also delete spam. Go to the message in question, select
"other options", then "remove message".
