I'm managing three groups of graduate capstone students at UHCL this semester, one focusing on an idea of getting Liquid Galaxy running on Android Tablets.

During the first week of their work, they've run into a wall:

1. There's no drivers.ini file on the Android when Google Earth is installed
2. They find the /data/drivers.ini file on the Emulator, but it is not editable, and then (per #1) doesn't transfer to the Android or get used.

We were hoping to be able to control the "slaves" via the drivers.ini file and then command via the /tmp/query.txt as normal - is anyone familiar with why drivers.ini doesn't exist on the Android App?

Sincerely,

Hi Stuart, sorry I can't help you with Android.

This semester we'll be experimenting with using Windows7-based tablets as Google Earth/Liquid Galaxy controllers or alternate mapping consoles or something interesting!
These are ASUS Eee Slate PC's http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_Slate_EP121/, the school bought a bunch for academics & projects to use and a couple have fallen my direction. I haven't investigated but they may capable of running Linux. However, for better or worse, our students have more experience with Windows dev.
