I run Fedora on my laptop, which hosts several KVM virtual machines. Whilst attempting to resize the system partition (a dicey prospect, I know) on the Linux VM, I failed to put an EXT4 file system on the partition, so now it doesn't boot! All the data should still be there, so if I can juuust get grub to recognize the file system theoretically I should be alright.
Fedora on the laptop is fine so no worries there, but how would I doctor the file system on a partition in a KVM virtual machine? It ha[d|s] Red Hat on it, btw; though not a registered copy or I'd be calling them.
