I'm running a newly installed arch on my laptop and am having issues with
wicd connecting to my WPA2 Personal encrypted router. When I try from the
CLI, it connects every time. wicd gets to the point of authentication and
then goes back to disconnected status. I could sure use a clue. I've been
battling to get this lappy back up and running for the past 4 days.
HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!!!!!

That may have worked for some people, but not me. Here's the output of my
dmesg: http://sprunge.us/BgBb . I tried wicd then successfully connected
using the CLI to send the sprunge.

In my case - on a whim I went into wicd's preferences and in the dhcp
client section, and changed the (Automatic) setting to dhclient and it has
worked flawlessly since then. I think the auto mode was using dhcpcd which
doesn't work as well. Thanks for checking it out and posting your results.
Thanks again,
Scott
