Hello,

Does anybody had tried to use another version of u-boot different from the version 1.1.6? For instance, the last one?

I tried to port the last version of u-boot (2009.08) using the patch information provided by the ecb board manufacturer, but I could not compile. I believe the problem is mostly the newer architecture of u-boot for this newer version.

Could anybody provide some suggestion?

Best regards,

Flavio

The newer versions of u-boot should support the at91rm9200, but maybe
not the Linuxstamp. I've used this cross-compiler
(http://linuxstamp.budgetdedicated.com/index.php?dir=&file=arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi-20090309.tar.bz2)
to compile the latest u-boot for several arm processors.

thanks,
Paul

Hello Paul,

Actually I compiled the u-boot for the at91rm9200dk board in the new u-boot. The problem occurred during application load ... the board didn't work.

I was just wondering if anybody tried to use a newer version of u-boot in linuxstamp board. My intention is to load the linux kernel and the filesystem from the memory card. And, as far as I could see, the version 1.1.6 of u-boot cannot do this. If I am wrong, please help me.

Best regards,

Flavio
