Does anybody know where I can get the pl2303.ko driver for Linux
2.6.28.3? My GPS has that chip, and I found today that my filesystem
doesn't have that ko.
There isn't usbserial.ko either, but I think usbserial.c was compiled
in my kernel.
I still haven't found it in the emdebian repository.

I downloaded the linux kernel source to my Linuxstamp and surely
enough, pl2303.c was there. Now let's hope that the produced ko is
"Debian compatible", after the many hours it will take to compile ;)

You don't need the kernel module to be compatible with debian you need to be compatible with your kernel. The pl2303 is a serial usb bridge. Can you not use one of the serial ports on the unit?

thanks,
Paul

The GPS is a USB dongle. It only has a USB interface and it uses the
pl2303 chip.
The Linuxstamp has 5 serial ports: ttyS0 through ttyS4, and I plan to
use ttyS1 to talk to a PIC microcontroller.
