Screen resolution issue
Hi,
I am trying to get a dell flat screen to display at 1280x1024 at 60hz
with Redhat 5.5.
I run as root the program gnome-desktop-properties only shows up to
800x600. I can change it the display from 640x480 and 800x600 no
problems. When I run the “display” program, I can select 1280x1024
with no problems. The flat screen monitor can do the resolution and
the N10 can also run the resolution. But after I log off gnome and
log back in it only shows 800x600.
I ran xrandr (version 1.1 with redhat 5.5) just shows 800x600 and
640x480.
Where does gnome-desktop-properties get it’s settings? How do I
add in the resolution I need?
