[gentoo-user] Short introduction

Hi,


I'm new to the list.

Starting with SuSE using Mandrake I have recently put Gentoo
on my box.

I didn't install it by myself but got a 700MB tarball from a
friend which included all important software including KDE
3.3. I simply unpacked it to my hard drive, configured X and
grub and I have been in business.

I have now configured most things I need, and I have to admit
that Gentoo seems to be the right thing for me.

But anyway I hope I can offer some help on the list and if
necessary ask some silly questions by myself ;-) .

Good to have you here, even if you cheat ;) If you have the time then
please head over to irc.freenode.org's #gentoo and help out where you
can. Sometimes it gets a little frantic there. ;)

You'll wonder, but I dislike all kinds of chat :) .

Takes a lot of time and if there is valuable information, it
is not kept for later searches on the web.

I'm a great lover of mailing lists :) .
