Hello,
I apologize for my amateurish question, but I don't understand the
reason why my simple module won't run. On 'insmod ./wq_test.ko' I
always get the segfault. I was trying to get my first workqueue
working but without any success. The code is here:
...
static struct workqueue_struct *wq_test_workqueue;

Anyone know of any recourses discussing how to force a 64-bit data word on a
PCI bus? We are using a Tyan motherboard with AMD64 processors. The slots
are PCI-X. While DMA operations which appear to originate from the PCI SCSI
controller are 64-bits (data) wide, code written to write to a memory mapped

I am new to PPP and need to customize the hdlc over an T1 device in an
embedded product. The hdlc over T1 using motorolla 860 hdlc controller
in stead of RS232.
Can anyone point me which set of files to change? My plan is to start
with generic hdlc, but are confused by synchronous hdlc and cisco
hdlc.

I have tried to use the following code to redirect the printk to
GNNOME console, but it failed. Is it because GNNOME terminal is like
xterm and not in char mode or the console really means to be RS232
terminal.
