elinks proxy ssl error post data

Hello list,
I have installed elinks on my etch.
I have configured the browser to go through a proxy
server.
Connections are fine in both http and https, but when
I fill a form (eg: gmail or yahoo mail), I get:

"Unable to retrieve
proxy://1.2.3.4/https://www.google.com/.....
(POST DATA)
SSL ERROR"

I have no problem with lynx, though.

I have tried to tamper with elinks.conf but no
success.
I wonder if anybody has the same problem or if anybody
has a clue or is it a Debian bug.
