Hi,
Section 3.7 of Developers' Reference lists the steps to retire from
the Debian project.
I suggest to insert, in second position into this list, a reminder to
retire from Debian teams as well.
Please find attached the corresponding patch.
Thanks,
_Gilles.

Seconded.
Emilio
It might be wise to expand a bit. What does that mean?
- Get removed from relevant groups on Alioth and in LDAP.
- Send a nice mail to you other team members.
- Remove yourself from Uploaders.
- anything else?
Cheers,

Is that supposed to be a check-list (i.e. a memory help) ?

Imagine a large red swirl here.
My idea was mainly about alioth, yes. How are the account handled
currently when a DD retires?

Nice, but that wasn't the idea.

Should be done while orphaning.
> - anything else?
Nope.
Thanks,
_Gilles.
I remove the patch tag because I think it needs to be expanded before
being ready to commit.

They are left untouched except that they are removed from the Debian
group. Thus they loose any automatic commit right they had on collab-maint
an other large teams (perl, python, etc.), however they keep rights on
any project that they are part of.

It's still a good idea IMO.

So should be documented that way in
http://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/pkgs.html#orphaning
