Hi!

LE upstream here. Have you considered setting "LIBEXTRACTOR_PREFIX=/usr"?
This should do the trick (LE will then look in /usr/lib/libextractor for its
plugins). If this variable is not set, LE will also try a heuristic, using
the path of the running binary and thus go from "/usr/bin/extract" to
"/usr/lib/libextractor/" (remove /bin/, add /lib/libextractor/); but I suspect
this might not work *during* installation.

So if this is purely a problem of finding LE plugins during some dpkg-installer
script, the environment variable is the quick and easy fix.
