I have the new kmail up and running.
First questions:
How do I import my old filters?

Have you exported them before?

If so you can reimport them via Settings -> Configure filters and there Import -

Best regards,

Found them in their ...rc file in a saved .kde/config.

So far, runs nicely except it is always asking for account passwords, no
option to "remember."

I'm not sure it's the same, but ever since the upgrade to 4.10/KMail2 KWallet
asks for my KWallet password A LOT to retrieve (or send) the mail from 1 of my
email accounts.
I've made no change to KWallet's config.

I think KMail2 is using a different acount resource so is being treated
differently by kwallet.

If you're getting prompted all the time for your password I suspect kwallet is
not set to allways allow.

Try looking in system settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet > Access
Control,

The various accounts are all set to 'Always Allow' and even got prompted
multiple times for that setting and each time I choose the 'Allow Always'
button ...

Since the migration to KMail2 didn't work too well for me (and I'm mostly
using dIMAP), I deleted and recreated my dIMAP accounts.

That shows in interesting picture ... I have quite a lot of email related
items in there (all set to Always Allow) and a whole bunch of them look like
duplicates of other entries. Example:
- didi....@cknow.org of type <blank>
- didi....@cknow.org of type IMAP E-Mail Server
And I also have 5 entries for my ownCloud (DAV) resource!
I guess it's time for a cleanup of that list.

There's also a setting "Prompt when an application accesses an open wallet",
which is checked. But does that setting apply to all requests to the wallet or
only ones which don't have 'Allow Always' policy?

Thanks for the pointer :)

That seems to have fixed my issue (for the most part) :-)
After logging in and starting Kontact, I now only get a password prompt maybe
2-3 times a day, instead of > 10 per hour.

So thanks again!
