Hi list.

Is it worth compile kwin with opengl-es 2 support on a desktop machine?

Like this guy does:
http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2011/07/running-kwin-with-opengl-es-2-0/

I hav a nvidia 8200M video chip on a hp laptop.

Finally, if it's worth, which is the best way to compile it on debian wheezy?

Cheers.

I had been asuming GL ES was a subset of the Open GL that the desktop kwin was
using. But the libGL my kwin is linked against is libGL.1, is that only opengl
1.0?

Does GL ES 2.0 provide any benifits vs GL 1.0?

Building the GLES version probably isn't that hard, its probably just tweaking
an option in the configure step.

If I'm not mistaken, you also need Qt compiled against GL ES, which is
currently not the situation. See [0].
