Hello List!

Thanks for maintaining the kde packages in such good quality, you are doing
a great job.

I heard from rhonda that a new version of kde will arrive to wheezy-
backports sooner or later. Is this true?

Is there any schedule for doing so?

Do the news of 4.11 being a long term release[0] influence the decision
which version will be added to the backports archive?

I personally would love to see a maintained kde 4.11 for wheezy.

best regards
Markus

Maybe not. We can't push packages to backports until packages are in
wheezy.

There is a common misconception about this news. Aaron Seigo talked only about
plasma-workspace, that is things in this git directory:
<https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kde-workspace/repository>
And if you think about it, these did not get any substantial (i.e. visible for
end user) new feature in long time anyway.

This long term support does not affect everything else in KDE SC stack, which
happen to be apps that most users care about (Dolphin, nepomuk, KDE PIM,
Calligra Suite, Konsole, Kate, media players and so on).
