i am running woody along with 2.4.17 custombuilt for acpi. recently i
upgraded to gnome2. however nautilus does not work. here's the error i
get:
(nautilus:2464): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in
module_path: "cleanice",
nautilus: relocation error: /usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0: undefined
symbol: FT_Get_First_Char
search for similar troubles showed me that some ppl had the same problem
when /usr/lib/ files were not found in /usr/X11/lib. thats the case for
me too. i think i have different files in them. is my xsetup correct?
thanks

looks like you have an old freetype on your system.
check the files libfreetype* in /usr/lib and /usr/X11R6/lib and delete
the older ones (or move them away).
if i recollect correctly, there was a little packaging bug, where a new
version of the package did not delete the old libs.
