Package: qa.debian.org
Severity: wishlist

Hi.

Along the lines described in http://www.asheesh.org/note/debian/rdfa-pts, it would be great if the PTS provided RDFa metadata.

I think it lacks just a few modifications in order to provide proper RDFa in the XHTML output, that could be exploited by Semantic Web applications.

Maybe this ontology : http://github.com/nbarrientos/steamy/blob/master/ontologies/debian.owl could be a good candidate for representing package metadata in RDF.

Also maybe an interesting pointer : http://www.golden-gryphon.com/blog/manoj/blog/2009/04/22/Ontologies__58___Towards_a_generic__44___distribution_agnostic_tool_for_building_packages_from_a_VCS/

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

I think SPDX (http://spdx.org) would be an even better standard for package identification. This would be natively linked to DEP5 efforts, as SPDX is standardizing a lot on this (see http://dep.debian.net/deps/dep5/).

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

ADMS.SW may provide useful ontology for Software Repository / Project / Package / Release description too, FWIW.

HtH.

Btw, there could be interest for other flavours of RDF, so I've just filed a wishlist in the more general sense of RDF as #685605.
