Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "python-django-photologue".

* Package name : python-django-photologue
Version : 2.2-1python1
Upstream Author : Justin Driscoll <justin....@gmail.com>
* URL : http://code.google.com/p/django-photologue/
* License : BSD
Section : python

It builds these binary packages:
python-django-photologue - Powerful image management for the Django web framework

The package appears to be lintian clean.

My motivation for maintaining this package is: I built this package for
project I'm working on and I'd like to share it with the community. As
of now there's no photo management Django applications packaged for
Debian, so I'm keen to fix this issue.

The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-django-photologue
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/python-django-photologue/python-django-photologue_2.2-1python1.dsc

I would be glad if someone uploaded this package for me.

Please CC me in your answer as I'm not subscribed to the list yet.

Kind regards
Ihor Kaharlichenko

Hi Ihor,

I will sponsor you. Soon, I will give you some notices about
photologue packaging.

PS: I'm not subscribed to the mentors list.

Cheers,

Hi Ihor,

This is my initial review:

changelog:
----------

* replace "unstable" with "UNRELEASED" in all entries except in the first entry
* put "closes" in the first entry

control:
--------

* priority field must be 'optional' instead of 'extra'
* upgrade standards version to newer version
* add VCS fields

copyright:
----------

* the maintainer field is about upstream and not about you.
* you forgot the files field in the upstream Files section.
* you don't need to repeat the copyright text because of the year, you can use:

Copyright: 2007-2009, Justin Driscoll <justin....@gmail.com>

* You don't need to repeat the license text, just use the License section:

License: BSD
On Debian GNU/Linux systems, the complete text of the BSD License
can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/BSD'

watch:
------

I think this way better:

opts=\
downloadurlmangle=s|.*[?]name=(.*?)&.*|http://django-photologue.googlecode.com/files/$1|,\
filenamemangle=s|[^/]+[?]name=(.*?)&.*|$1| \
http://code.google.com/p/django-photologue/downloads/detail[?]name=django-photologue-(.*)\.zip.*

Please do not suggest this. Use of that location is deprecated[1] as of
DPM 3.9.0, and it may be removed from common-licenses in the future. See
§ 12.5 and footnote 101 for details.
