Package: gnome-shell
Version: 2.29.0-3
Severity: grave

At least that's what the output seems to suggest:

test@feivel:~$ gnome-shell --replace

This is on a user that just created right before running the test. It doesn't
look to me like a hardware problem, but more like a missing dependency. I
couldn't get it to run at all, that's why I reported the bug as grave, feel
free to adjust if this is a problem not hitting everyone. And feel free to tell
me what to test.

Indeed, gir1.0-clutter-1.0_1.2.12 doesn't ship ClutterJson-1.0.typelib anymore
(1.0.x did).

Can you try installing gir1.0-mutter-2.31 from experimental? I guess it doesn't
need ClutterJson. If I'm right, maybe we can backport the change if it's not too
big to the unstable version. Gustavo?

Sorry for not noticing that ClutterJson was going away.

Regards,
Emilio

Sorry, also upgrade gnome-shell and mutter to the experimental versions.
Otherwise gnome-shell is probably using Meta-2.29 rather than Meta-2.31.

I tried that too, but cannot as gnome-shell depends on a library version that
appears to be not available, at least not for amd64.
