Hi,
I have checked it is a bug from EOG. All other programs work.
I have reinstalled the printer with system-config-printer, and still the same thing with eog
Firefox, gimp, lp, ... work fine.

Although this problem is not kernel related I leave the solution here
for completeness:
For some reason a manual update of GRUB was needed, so ...
update-grub
grub-install ...
... solved the problem.
