Removing/purge bugzilla3 packages does not ask for removal of the database nor the user setup.
If bugzilla3 is installed from the beginning on, and you do not remember your old db password, you will not get access to the database. The setup fails and you have to remove the user manual; for MySQL with DROP USER bugzilla3... more »

While upgrade of bugzilla is running or checksetup, the "shutdownhtml" configuration variable should be set in /etc/bugzilla3/params in order to disable usage. Is the installation successful "shutdownhtml" should be reset.
Be carefull. If the admin set shutdownhtml already himsel, do not overwrite it!... more »
