Apologies,

The actual package I needed to install was libio-socket-inet6-perl.

libsocket6-perl was pulled in as a dependancy of
libio-socket-inet6-perl.

This is actually a missing dependency from the libmythtv-perl package
which is what installs /usr/share/perl5/IO/Socket/INET/MythTV.pm .

This package isn't in Debian, but rather comes from deb-multimedia.org,
so I've Cc'ed Christian in rather than transfer the bug.

Cheers!

Thanks Andrew for the Cc.

I've received a bad bug report.

Fixed in libmythtv-perl 0.25.1-dmo3 (not yet uploaded).

Hi Christian, thank you for the quick response. And yeah, I agree the
bug report was against the wrong package. optimize_mythdb.pl uses the
MythTV module from libmythtv-perl. A quick sniff around and I couldn't
find mythrename.pl, but I didn't look too hard.

I'll keep the bug in the BTS open until 0.25.1-dmo3 is uploaded
(hopefully I'll spot it, I'm still on 0.24).

Yes I agree. I must check if a bug report is really a bug report, even
if the proposed solution is simple.

Don't forget that my packages aren't supported by Debian.
