Package: linux-image-2.6.24-1-686
Version: 2.6.24-2
Severity: important

Since upgrading to 2.6.24, my laptop keeps locking up for short periods
of time. I have noticed that the following kernel messages are logged
about 30 times when this happens.

please run memtest86 for at least 24h this smells faulty hardware.
crashes in cpu_idle() tend to be hardware issues.

FWIW, I had this bug on amd64, and have not experienced it since I've
upgraded to 2.6.25-rc8 (from debian kernel repository), though I've hit
patterns that were triggering this before a few times since I upgraded.

Seems like upstream claim that this is fixed in 2.6.25 is true.
