Package: wodim
Version: 5:1.0~pre4-1.1
Severity: important

I've not been able to burn cd/dvd lately, this is the error I get.

I tested the subversion sources with same results.

wodim -vvv dev=/dev/hdc guia.iso

This is wodim, not cdrecord. Don't expect it to behave like cdrecord in any
way, don't refer to it as "cdrecord". Send problem reports to
debbur...@lists.alioth.debian.org, don't bother Joerg Schilling with any
problems caused by this application.

Does this also happen when running as root?
Does the old cdrecord show the same behaviour?
Or cdrdao (as root)?
Does cdrskin work for you?

Add -V -V please.

Okay... so there is really no other software that works with your device
and your media? Maybe it is a hardware fault after all?!

I continued testing and definitely it was a hardware failure.
