IS WINDOWS 7 A CLONE OF KDE???

Yesterday i happened to read an article in a blog about WINDOWS 7 AND
KDE.To my surprise i found that many of the features of WIN 7 like
flashy taskbar and certain buttons were ditto copy of KDE 4.3.2.I too
tried WIN 7 and i found that it is almost like my KUBUNTU desktop..I
cant figure out why people are going for WIN 7 when the much more

Hey all, Ubuntu has published its latest version ubuntu 9.1.It is
simply awesome!!!!!!....Ithink this time it is gonna beat XP with a
real cool feature-Virtualization...this new feature allows you to make
Xp just another app in your os.you can just run all the files of XP
just like in a drive on your system.We dont have to bother about vine

Has anyone tried video chat in linux,which is the best app for
that???....i kept asking this question in many forums...I got amsn or
skype as answer in most cases.but they were not as good as their

user permission setting on CVS

Hello friends,

I have install CVS on Fedoar-8, the working very well, now i want to
setting only one user work on particulate one project at a same time.
I mine to avoid having two people edit at the same time.

And user set given permission to our project, is it possible?? I have
used cvs-1.11.22 version. So, anybody have any idea? please tell me.

If u have , .ISO files, then just write it using Nero ---> Burn Image from
Disc ----> select .ISO option there in "File Types" Dialogue box ----> Burn.

Hi,

Actually it is best to create /boot as ext3 and then rest of harddrive
to make a physical volume --> volumegroup --> and thenlogical volumes
as per rquirement.
most of linux distros now a days allow you to set that up during
installation.

LVM is more popular now a days as you can expand / shrink (bit tricky)

which distro u r going to install ?

Generally 3 partitions req. in installation, and we cannot create partitions
after installtion.

1. / - (4-10 GB) whole OS , u can use more
2. /boot - (100 MB) Booting files and images, kernel loader etc.,
3. swap - It's size depends on your RAM, generally we make
