hai friends

i just want to know that is there any windows installation required otherthan linux in the hard disk to run wine.... my plan is to copy some exe files(developed in VB) to linux and run in linux.....

will it work

U don't need to install Windows to use Wine..

However if u have a pre-installed copy of Windows to use as the Windows
Folder, it would be helpful.. as the dlls that you would require will be
present in your pre-installed Win distro.. It is not mandatory thou..
