Greetings all,

I am pleased to announce that the first 5 node paravirtualized OCFS2
cluster running CentOS v5 i386/x86_64 came online this weekend, and is
now providing RPM builds via HTTP on its own storage using all open
source software at:

http://www.linux-iscsi.org/builds

This is a 900 GB volume that consists of hardware/software RAID5 being
linked together via EVMS on the target side, and then exported to the
five paravirtualized guests running OCFS2 across two physical
virtualization machines.

The first available builds are for CentOS 5-xen, with non-xen CentOS 5
planned next, as well as a much needed howto on how to produce the
setup. Also for the builds, the RPMs for the Initiator, Target, OCFS2
and EVMS are included, although only the Initiator and Target are being
built on the cluster itself.

The next steps for the cluster is to start moving the cluster traffic
across the dedicated 10 Gb/sec instead of the 1 Gb/sec link, and running
other types of fully virtualized guests to connect to cluster for doing
builds on non CentOS 5 systems. Also, I plan to change the physical
storage setup for the initial cluster in order to achieve maximum
spindle speed as the number of nodes in the cluster starts to grow.

There is much much more to come on this project, (as well as the long
awaited public announcement) so please stay tuned. :-)
