Hi everyone,

First of all, I apologize if this is not the right place to post my
question.
I am running Ubuntu Gutsy on my Lenovo 3000 N100, which has an
AuthenTec FingerPrint Reader (usb id 08ff:2580).
I downloaded, compiled and installed the driver for this reader from
the following site: http://home.gna.org/aes2501/index_en.html
Up to this point, everything works great.

But now I don't know what to do next...!
I want to (hopefully) be able to login to GDM with a fingerprint
instead of a password, for example.
What modules/drivers should I compile/install now?
How should I configure that behaviour? Is there a GUI tool for it, or
should I modify some configuration files by hand?

Your help is appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Roi

Cool, I haven't heard of this project.

From their website: "The second step is to let users be able to use
the fingerprint reader for authenticating themselves, for instance
with the BioAPI framework and the PAM system"

It looks like this step hasn't been completed yet, which will be
necessary for login via the GDM.

If I were you I'd contact Cyrille Bagard and ask how I could help out.
