32 or 64 bit
...That's the answer. There is usually a menu item (in KDE at least) for system information that tells you what processor you have amongst other useful stuff - also the "hwinfo" command and if you are still unsure, a google search will reveal whether the reported CPU is 32 or 64-bit. 73 ... Sid.

32 or 64 bit
Hi All, Under Linux the Linrad configure script looks for various files to decide which packages are installed. This works for 32 bit versions of Linux, but when Linrad is compiled on a 64 bit distribution the test for things like libXext.so which is done like below may give a false positive. LIBEXT=0... more »

Linrad+ubuntu 9.10
Hi All, I have received this bug report: ...The gcc compiler is changed now and then and it always becomes better. I have not yet tried Ubuntu 9.10 myself, but obviously the latest gcc (not yet included in Debian testing) has better error checking. There is a serious error in Linrad. The array declared on line 22 in... more »

I have MAP65iq_r11116 installed and running on a Dell laptop running Vista Not really knowing what I am doing I plugged in my SDR-IQ and the computer asked for a driver. I let it search for one and it found and installed a driver and when I start Linrad in SSB and MAP65 I get what looks like a normal waterfall.... more »

MAP65IQ and Linrad problem found / Need help on I/Q reversal
I found my problem where the first decode would freeze up but the waterfall would continue on MAP65. The problem was being created when either the Band Map window or the Message Window is closed out. Map65 does not like it when any of the windows are closed out. They must remain running or minimized.... more »

Linrad and MAP65IQ not working
Hello All, I am new to the group and joined because I just spent the last two weeks trying to get Linrad and MAP65 to work with no success. I am able to get Linrad and Winrad working very nicely however. The problem is that when MAP65IQ tries to decode the first sequence of data, the clock freezes on MAP65 and there are no decode but the MAP65... more »

Networking issues
Hi All. I'm new to this group and to Linrad, although I've known about it for a few years and have been somewhat following it's progression. Leif, you may recall meeting me at the EME conference in Trenton, NJ a few years ago. Anyway I bought a SDR-IQ and got it working. Then installed Joe's... more »

SDR-IQ Birdies
I spent some time today looking at various birdies on my Linrad screen, in an attempt to identify the source of each. By far the worst are a series of lines centred around 144.153MHz. Each line is actually a triplet, and the centre lines of each triplet are spaced 1kHz apart. The intensities fall off on either side of 144.153MHz, making the... more »
