Hi Gun,
Seems your system is overloaded. Try to set the fft1 window size N = 0
(unwindowed FFT) If it starts running, try the different fft1 versions.
The cpu load may differ.
You might try to increase the fft1 storage time slightly
and perhaps check whether the fft1 size affects cpu load much.
It could be important to make the fft1 size small because
if the CPU has a small cache it helps to keep the fft inside
the cache memory.
Press T to get the timings for individual threads.
Also run top to see how much overhead you have from X11.
I guess the fifi-sdr is using the sound sub-system.
Make sure that you do not invoke extra processes from
pulseaudio or something. It is probably best to avoid
Portaudio, but one never knows.
It would be much better to run in terminal mode but
for that you would have to install svgalib. There is no
reason to have a working module for your graphics,
with flinrad you would use the front buffer device directly
but svgalib is required for the mouse.
Anyone has an idea for another way to get mouse support?
I tried GPM but mouse then has a resolution corresponding to
the characters of a text screen:-(
