http://www.abisource.com/projects/link-grammar/api/index.html#links,
section 6.4 Manipulating Linkages has an example sentence: 'I eat
therefore I think.'

It describes the link from I.p to eat as resulting from a match
between 'Sp*i+' and 'Sp-'. However, it also says, 'The label on a
link in a diagram is constructed by taking the "intersection" of the
left and right connectors that comprise the link.'

The printed label is 'Sp*i'. To me that looks more like a union than
an intersection.

Oops. My bad. The documentation clearly states that trailing asterisks
are to be assumed. Thus the proper comparison is 'Sp*i+' and 'Sp**-',
and 'Sp*i' is clearly the most specific instance of those patterns.
Most specific implies intersection; union would be most general. My
bad. Sorry for wasting readers' time.

Heh. No problem, I made exactly the same mistake when I got started.
It had me stumped!
