For World Linguistics Day I researched and made a Word Family of the etymology of "Saussure", as in Ferdinand de, born Nov 26 1857, 


A presumed European substrate word *salik-/*selik-/*welik-: "willow" -> salicylic, Saussay/Saussure, sargasso, sallow, willow
