[From Eileen Daly]
The UL Exhibition proved to be a wonderful success both for the Trust and
the former church space. Thank you all for your patience during the prep
work and the clean-up afterwards.
A couple of concerns have arisen and I would greatly appreciate your
co-operation. As the Trust does not have a presence full time in the
Friary it is very important that all tenants have respect for their own
space and the space of their neighbouring tenants. Can you please
1. Smoking is not allowed in the building at any time, you all know
that a lot of work has to be done to meet the fire & safety regulations.
We have completed all the immediate risks outlined but we need you to be
vigilant and ensure that risks to all tenants are kept to a minimum, so
please adhere to this request.
2. Security – I have noticed, and it has been reported by our
Caretaker that the front door of the Friary is being opened on a Wednesday
evening to allow entry for a number of people involved with one of the
tenant groups. This has to discontinue immediately, if the door has to be
opened for a specific time period it has to be manned at all times. Not
only is the Trust concerned about this but also a number of tenants have
reported that they are not happy with this. It is vitally important to
tenants that we are all vigilant regarding security.
3. We will be reviewing all tenancy agreements in September, we will
be renumbering all rooms and installing new locks.
4. The kitchen area, if this is being used please ensure that you
clean up after you.
5. Please contact me immediately if you have a concern, comment or
wish to discuss any of the above with me. I will make myself available any
evening to meet with you.
I hope that you all have a nice summer and hopefully some sunshine!
