I will be coming to Malawi from the first week of August. If anyone
is looking for books - fiction or non-fiction or for kind (new or
used) from the UK, please send me an email.

I am shipping some books next week and will be shipping some at the

Hi Kay,
Have a good supply of books here at the moment - but I am setting up a
book box loan system in the 20 schools that I work in. What we are
having massive problems with is any kind of sturdy storage box - in
the UK you can buy those stacking plastic boxes with lids quite
cheaply - and we may be able to afford to buy them. However, getting
them here is a major problem. Have tried to source something similar
here, but have to get them from South Africa and the only quote I
managed to get is 3,500 kwacha per box - about £14 - and we can't
afford that.
If you are shipping out a container is there any possibility that you
could put in some of the plastic storage boxes for us - we would need
about 80/100! they are bulky but not heavy - and it's a big problem -
even the national Library can't get hold of them and have to scrounge
old cardboard boxes from the supermarkets which are in short supply.

Haven't discussed this with the boss yet, but when I saw your post I
just wanted to get in touch and see if it's a possibility. Could you
let me know? the organisation I work for is called Landirani trust -
you can see our work on the website www.landirani.org they are based
in Surbiton in Surrey - and in malawi we have an office in Area 18 in
Lilongwe and we operate in a 100 sq.km area north west of Lilongwe
airport. Where are you based in the UK? and where is the container
coming to in Malawi?
